Scintillator includes lots of pre-built effects and color palettes to get you started. Just choose a mode, a palette, and up to 50 bulbs - right away the room comes to life with changing color. Have you considered adding an alarm mode whereby you set the time and the light mode that is activated - with an option to turn it off? It took me 4 days of trial and error to get it working and so I don’t even trust my ability so therefore also worry it will stop working at some point.Īs I said in the original post it’s an amazingly powerful app, it’s just the interface really lets it down for me - I consider myself tech savvy so I’m used to an element of difficulty - but it’s still a good power user app and I will carry on learning it.Design animated lighting effects for Philips Hue, LIFX, Nanoleaf, and Avea with full control over color, speed, style, and more. there are two options in a scene where I can set a fade time - neither one is explained in the faq or app that I could see and therefore it starts getting confusing. I have looked through the faq and left that feeling equally confused. Oh wow are you the dev? thanks for the reply but sunrise itself wouldn’t work, I have it at a specific time and I work two different shift patterns on rotation so I need to change my schedule frequently. Thanks for reading and if there’s more info I can give please let me know - happy to give some screen shots tomorrow if that helps clarify the above I run my house on iPhone and windows - I haven’t looked at any windows apps yet, I have tried searching Google before postkng, but all that comes up is stupid articles on the best colour changing party apps - that don’t offer programming. Which is useless.Įnter “Hue lights” app by lapapps - it’s a very powerful app but I cannot wrap my head around it in terms of its UI which is a shame - I have managed to get the above set up working so that it doesn’t affect me during the day, but I just don’t find its interface very friendly (I barely know how I got my sunrise wakeup alarm set on it, but now it’s working I can’t just disable it when I want, with a simple on off toggle) so wanted to see if you guys had any suggestions? I’d like the simplicity of the hue app with the flexibility of hue lights app. But it also turns my light off during the day after 1 minute of inactivity. But the official hue app is useless with the motion sensor for areas like a bedroom if I program the sensor with the official app to turn the lights on between midnight and 6am as a nightlight and then turn off after 1 minute of inactivity that works great. I’m new to Hue and after picking up a starter kit plus a motion sensor I love it.
